The LED Head Torch, from Web-Tex, is a multi-function headlamp with a total of 11 LEDs, is weatherproof, and just the job when you need hands free illumination out in the field. It is suitable for a wide range of outdoor activities, including military use.
3 Mode Settings
The headlamp has a total of 11 LEDs (three red and 8 white), and three modes of use. One setting will use just the three red LEDs which is the perfect option when you need to preserve your night vision. The next setting illuminates just one white LED, which is enough for most close quarter work, but the beam will not have a long range.
For longer range work, the final setting will illuminate all 8 white LEDs. This will produce a brighter light with a longer range. The light range is about 20 to 30 metres, and the farsighting range (for signalling) is 400 to 500 metres.
Low Battery Consumption
Because the headlamp uses LEDs, it uses very little power. It takes 3 AAA batteries, which are included, and 1 set of batteries will provide up to 200 hours burn time. LEDs have a long life expectancy (up to 100,000 hours), so should never need replacing.
The Web-Tex LED Head Torch has 11 LEDs and 3 mode settings and is a very versatile and useful headlamp. It is ideal for a range of outdoor activities, as well as for military use.
